By Barry Holbrook: Promoter Frank Warren made it clear today that Dillian Whyte has very little chance of getting a rematch with Tyson Fury following his sixth-round knockout loss last Saturday night at Wembley Stadium in London.

In an interview with Sky Sports on Monday, Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) said he felt that he deserves a rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) because he pushed him down with two hands in the sixth round.

Whyte states that he hit the back of his head when he fell down, which is why he was so hurt when he got back to his feet.

That excuse isn’t likely to improve the 34-year-old Whyte’s chances of getting a second fight with ‘The Gypsy King,’ because he’s already made it clear that he’s retiring.

Should Whyte choose to continue his career, he’s got the potential to work his way back into another title shot in one to three years, as long as he beats the right contenders.

“When I was younger I was asking to take Julia Roberts out, it never happened,” said Frank Warren to talkSPORT, reacting to Dillian Whyte saying he wants a rematch with Tyson Fury.

“The plan was to jab him from the distance, get out, and check him out,” said Tyson Fury to Top Rank Boxing about his fight with Dillian Whyte.

“I was checking him put all night with that Detroit check.  Bang, bang, bang,” continued Fury. “I started putting it to the body, and I clipped him with a good left hook downstairs.

“Listen, he caught me with some good shots to the body as well, so fair play to Dillian. He’s a tough man. I do believe he’s got a future in this sport and will be a champion.

“Not only have I beat the biggest puncher in the game [Deontay Wilder], but I’ve also beaten the most avoided [Whyte] apparently in the game too. Not bad for an old fat boy, am I?

“You always want to leave people wanting more. You never want to be the last person in the bar drunk. Always leave the party at the highest, always leave them wanting more.

“I’ve given everything to this sport for over 20 years,” Fury continued. “I deserve to be at home with my feet up with my family and my kids.

“I was very convinced after the third Wilder fight that I’d never fight again, and then I had the opportunity to fight out at Wembley, so I knew I had to go out and fight one more time.

“I’ve been saying all camp, ‘This is the end,’ and it is and it was epic,,” said Fury reveling about his win over Whyte.”I couldn’t go out any better.

“A big thank you to everybody that covered me for over 20 years and trained me and helped me in the sport. It was amazing,” said Fury.
